The LANG ACADEMY at the Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt
The LANG ACADEMY will present its new summer training program at the international trade fair for event technology on the 10th to 13th of April 2018.
In order to meet the increasing demand of trainings for visual presentation technology and events, the LANG ACADEMY has been developed and organized trainings for technicians in the Pro AV industry for years.
The trainings are practical, user-oriented and address the operation of professional video technology.
Lessors, handlers, distributors and project planners can gain a competitive advantage over their competitors in specially designed seminars. The education center of the LANG AG is well established and will be exhibiting at the Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt / Main for the fifth time.
There, the LANG ACADEMY will be presenting the current training program, including the latest information about noteworthy innovations.
Due to the high demand of streaming technologies in the AV market, the LANG ACADEMY is expanding its training seminars to include IP over AV topics this year. The training facility based in Lindlar, now offers two new IP trainings as part of the official summer program. The Signal Management Fundamentals seminar teaches basic knowledge about interfaces, signal processing and various possibilities of image processing. The Video Streaming Essentials training completes this study with topics related to IT network technology, data compression and streaming.
Another focus will be in the media server sector with AV Stumpfl RAW and Pandoras Box trainings.
With the trend moving towards high-resolution, uncompressed content in both interactive and creative solutions, the demand on feed technology is exploding. Topics such as real-time compositing, tracking and show control are playing an important role.
The technology is answering with modern and powerful media servers such as AV Stumpfl RAW, Christie Pandora’s Box and LANG HMS. These units will be presented as highlights at the LANG ACADEMY booth 4.0 C34.
Due to growing interest, the LANG ACADEMY is extending its in-house expertise by becoming an official AV Stumpfl Media & Control Solutions Training Centre in April 2018. Fabian Stumpfl, CEO of AV Stumpfl, welcomes the increasing commitment of the LANG AG. “Both of our companies are well connected, which is why we are pleased to deepen our cooperation in the future. Especially this year, there will be a lot of interesting news regarding our media servers. In addition to the annual trade fair appearances, this year LANG is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In April 1978, Paul Detlef Lang and his wife Gabriele founded the family business in their living room and adjoining garage. At that time it was called “Audiovision Paul D. Lang”. At first, there was the will to survive combined with a pursuit of innovation that drove Paul Detlef Lang and his company. Eleven years after the founding of Audiovision Paul D. Lang, the first employees were hired. With the relocation of the company to Lindlar, LANG experienced steady growth. In 2008, Paul Detlef’s son, Tobias Lang, took over as CEO. Today, 40 years after the company was founded, LANG presents itself as a stable company and reliable employer with 220 employees in Lindlar, Germany – among them 25 apprentices and 6 student workers. With the founding of LANG UK Ltd. and a joint venture in Baranday to become LANG-BARANDAY, the LANG family has grown beyond the borders of Germany and is now present in the United Kingdom and Switzerland since last year.
